Global Resorts Network – Still a 5-star Experience Or Not?
You might think, at a first glance, that Global Resorts Network isn’t the business that can help you build a four or five figure income within one year. Let’s take a closer look though at the product and compensation plan to see if that could be right or not.
The company is a travel business launched in 2007, which is not very unique, but the product it markets, a membership product that’s been sold for almost 20 years now by Gold Crown Resort, is quite unique: this product enables members to book week-long vacations at timeshares and in resorts all around the world, at discounted prices. It used to be sold directly to customers who personally attended a presentation, but nowadays, it is sold online through a network marketing company (G.R.N.).
Thus, there’s basically one single product: a luxury discount travel membership. It can be purchased on two levels: gold membership (3-year membership) and platinum membership, which is lifelong. What has made it possible for Global Resorts Network to offer these one-week vacations at such prices is the timeshare excess inventory that Gold Crown Resort purchases from different resorts all over the world, on an availability basis, and offers through Global Resorts Network. The price range of these vacations would be somewhere between $299 and $799. Membership fees are $1495 for the gold membership, and $2995 for the platinum one.
This means a great discount for anyone who travels. A timeshare is usually purchased at a higher price than that, and also requires yearly renewal or maintenance fees. The only drawback is the increasing number of members, which leads us to wonder if the value and availability of the services will stay the same. The initial Gold Crown Resort product was definitely a 5-star product, but once it has been sold via a network distribution system, through GRN, the number of members has dramatically increased, leading to a decrease of the available inventory.
GRN offers three different marketing systems for distributors to market the opportunity, each with a different website, info pages, contact management and auto-responders. Two of them are standard types, the third is the Reverse Funnel System, a funded proposal system, which basically means that people have to pay to get the information, but which managed to create quite a stir in the industry.
The startup costs are the membership costs, plus smaller fees for the website and marketing system. You might argue that these are a bit high startup costs, but for a member who utilizes his membership, they are not.
The compensation plan is a one-up perpetual leverage compensation plan; your first sale will be passed to your sponsor, to activate your 1st level; after this, you’ll receive $1,000 on each sale you make and another $1,000 will be passed up to your sponsor. This creates a residual income potential. There’s one drawback to this business, however: with only one product that can be a lifelong membership, there is no repeated sale on such a customer. There’s more to the compensation plan, which you’ll definitely need to study before definitely joining the business.
What is great about the business is that it has potential. However, it is up to you how you use that potential to your advantage: unless you’re already an expert in online network marketing, you should really take the time to learn online marketing strategies that help you generate leads, for your MLM business to explode.
