<p>In this video I outlined the 2 hurdles that all entrepreneurs must overcome in order to reach their goals. If you are not getting the type of results you want yet, you are stuck somewhere in between these hurdles.</p>

		</div>
<p><img class="alignnone" title="2" src="http://workwithdavidwood.com/listbuilderfourpointzero/tweet%20this.jpg" alt="" width="509" height="89" /></p>
<p>I remember back in late 2007, that&#8217;s when I was kind of doing some research online and looking for the magic silver bullet just like everyone else.</p>
<p>Though there were a lot of information even in 2007, most of everything I read was mostly on posture and developing<img class="alignright" style="margin: 5px;" title="internet research" src="http://www.i2marketing.com/images/Internet%20Research.JPG" alt="" width="214" height="323" /> the inner game.  Everything else like seo and ppc were nothing but gibberish to me. Most of the advanced internet marketing courses were not even targeted to mlm at the time.</p>
<p>Fast forward to present time in mid 2010, it seems to me there&#8217;s a new product launch around mlm every 2 weeks.  You will find everything from ppc, seo, article marketing, social media, viral traffic, systems, seo worded with different words but still seo, gmail advertisement but essentially its just ppc, secret twitter loopholes, ancient hidden internet traffic that just recently been discovered and everything else around the same thing all over again.  I think you get the piont.</p>
<p>If you are sucked into the hype that there is a new secret that will make you rich every 2 weeks,</p>
<p><strong>WAKE UP!</strong></p>
<p><span id="more-576"></span>If you are in MLM, let me bring things back down to earth.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;m about to reveal to you is the ONLY way to make millions of dollars in MLM.  It doesn&#8217;t matter how you accomplish the following 2 tasks. But they must be done if you want to make real money in MLM.</p>
<p>1. <strong>Frontline</strong> &#8211; recruit a strong layer of distributors personally to your 1st line.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Duplication</strong> &#8211; have a duplication code in place so some of your first line leaders can have success.</p>
<p>In short, this is how it works.</p>
<p>Go wide and then go deep. Then keep going wide and keep going deep.</p>
<p>Nothing more, nothing less.</p>
<p>Everything in the market about traffic generation to crazy conversion only accomplishes one thing and one thing only:</p>
<p><strong>RECRUITING</strong></p>
<p>You would still need to figure out the duplication code that&#8217;s appropriate to your specific opportunity so that your organization can go deep.</p>
<p>The fact is recruiting is just a ratio.  The more no&#8217;s you get, the closer you get to a yes.</p>
<p>I might be steeping on some toes here, but it is that stupid simple.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m a big fan of attraction marketing personally. But attraction marketing only solves half the equation in building an mlm empire.  The truth is you don&#8217;t need to be a guru in recruiting to make a lot of money in MLM.  As long as you work the numbers (online its never been so easy to work massive numbers) you will be able to recruit at least 3 &#8211; 5 distributors a month. With that small recruit number combine with a good duplication code, you will be on your way to MLM riches.</p>
<p><strong>The following analogy will help many of you get unstuck.</strong></p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 5px;" title="triathlon" src="http://www.rec.ubc.ca/events/images/triathlon.jpg" alt="" width="258" height="238" />Take triathlon for example. There are 3 sectors.</p>
<p>Swimming, running, and biking.</p>
<p>Its kinda like MLM if you think about it. In MLM, the 3 sectors are choosing a MLM, frontline, duplicate.</p>
<p>Can you imagine if a triathlon athlete take more time trying on the latest and greatest running shoes instead of conditioning for the race? Or read a gazillion books on the best posture of swimming? Then spend another few months researching the best carbor fiber bike frame for extreme air resistent?</p>
<p>Good luck claiming the title as the iron man.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m not anti educational. Obviously education is good&#8230; as long as you can apply what you learn.</p>
<p>So here&#8217;s my suggestion to you.</p>
<p>Before you get yourself stuck on marketing training, spend a little time getting comfortable on the phone and work on your inner game. Call cold leads if you have to just to get your skill up.</p>
<p>Once you feel comfortable and developed some sort of posture, only then do you start learning marketing.</p>
<p>Just pick 1 traffic source. (It&#8217;s actually really simple. just learn how to create a sales funnel -&gt; drive traffic -&gt; work and close the leads)</p>
<p>Pick 1 traffic source until you get to at least 20 leads a day. And then everything else that comes your way just put on a blindfold and ignore it. Everyone who pitches you otherwise treat them like your enemy and ignore them also <img src='http://jimchao.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Honestly, once you generate around 20 high quality targeted leads a day you should be making a full time income in your MLM if you got your inner game right and are closing leads.</p>
<p>I guess I should stop ranting for now <img src='http://jimchao.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Just go and take action and keep everything simple.</p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 5px;" title="desperate" src="http://amirshkolnik.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/iStock_000004885430XSmall.jpg" alt="" width="255" height="169" />I just had a realization earlier.  Here are a couple industry average statistics you need to know:</p>
<p>An average person will sponsor a <strong>new rep every 6 months</strong> while making less than <strong>10 bucks a week</strong>.</p>
<p>Now that I think about it, I actually fall into that category in my first 3 years&#8230; although I made slightly more than 10 bucks a week.</p>
<p>With results like that, no wonder why an average rep is so desperate for a new sign up.</p>
<p>I mean&#8230; I used to offer prospects free lunch and a free coffee as long as they are willing to hear me out.</p>
<p>And in the rare occasion that I sponsored a new rep, I would call the rep 3 times a day just to make sure they are still excited.</p>
<p><strong>I went as far as playing Dr. Phil and listen to drama for 3 hrs when my reps had personal life problems.</strong> (I know some of you reading this are guilty of that as well <img src='http://jimchao.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> )</p>
<p>Have you ever heard the saying &#8216;nice guys don&#8217;t win&#8217;?</p>
<p><em><strong>It&#8217;s true! </strong></em></p>
<p><span id="more-562"></span>Once I &#8216;got it&#8217; and embraced the human psychology and truly understand attraction in business, everything changed.</p>
<p>I went from:</p>
<p>- being the hunter to the hunted.<br />
- desperately doing follow ups to propsects leaving voicemails<br />
on my phone saying they are ready to join<br />
- struggled to sell a $390 start up to hand over fist getting enrollments<br />
in a top tier program (2k, 10k, 20k)<br />
- reps in the same company as me begging to resign up under my line.<br />
(even though I don&#8217;t let them)</p>
<p>To say the least, it was a big pivotal point to my business once I understood attraction.  And I think your business will change once you get it also.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m telling you, its <strong>not</strong> the computer, internet, or crazy latest and greatest marketing techniques that will make you  rich. It is the true understanding of people and being able to trigger people&#8217;s attraction mechanism.</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;the person who cares least holds the power&#8221;</strong><br />
- author unknown <img src='http://jimchao.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>When prospects feels that you need to sponsor them to get your bonus paycheck, they will do everything possible to blow you off.</p>
<p>Once I discovered how to <strong>use value to attract then use take away to close</strong>, recruiting new reps in my business was like selling candy to a kid.</p>
<p>If you didn&#8217;t catch that, I want you to <strong>read the last sentence again</strong>. Once you &#8220;<em>get it</em>&#8220;, you will never look at recruiting the same say again.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 5px;" title="attraction" src="http://bolstablog.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/law-pf-attraction-key.jpg" alt="" width="200" />The feeling of recruiting can actually go from haunting anxiety to exciting adrenaline&#8230; you will<br />
literally get addicted to the feeling of recruiting.</p>
<p>1 mega tip to try out in your prospecting today that will guarantee you get better results:</p>
<p>Start off your conversation with a <strong>time constraint</strong> after your greeting.</p>
<p>Your prospects will always respect you more when they see that you value your own time. When you make it clear that you are not going to spend an hour convincing them to  join and that you have other people who desires your time, you become attractive.</p>
<p>Example opening:</p>
<p><strong>You: </strong> Hi Jane, this is Jim and I&#8217;m getting back to you regarding the info you requested from my website. Is this a good time to reach you?</p>
<p><strong>Jane:</strong> sure.</p>
<p>(quick 1 minute rapport building then move into the following)</p>
<p><strong>You:</strong> I will keep this conversation short and brief as I have an appointment in 15 minutes.  Were you able to review all the information on xyz website?</p>
<p>If no, send them back to website (there&#8217;s actually another proccess here to screen them before you send them back to website)</p>
<p>If yes, ask them what they like best about it.</p>
<p>The rest of the conversation obviously won&#8217;t fit in this email. But the key for every prospecting conversation is always let your  prospects know that you are busy and your time is valuable.</p>
<p>Be sure to create an environment where your prospects know you are here to qualify them for your time. And only when they demonstrate they have the qualities that you are looking for  will you sponsor them into your business.</p>
<p>When you communicate value like that you will suck your prospects into a realm of your own&#8230; where you make the rules and if your prospects want to stay they have to play by your rules.</p>
<p>I can probably write a book about it I know haha.</p>
<p>But this is exactly the play book I went by for the past couple years to become a well respected top producer in this industry.</p>
<p><strong>The truth is my phone and presentation skills are average at best.</strong> It is more of the inner game rather than outer game that has  earned me a solid 6 figure income at the age of 23&#8230; and you can definitely do it.</p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Over the past year, so many <strong>start up entrepreneurs</strong> asked me the question <strong>“I work full time right now, can I run this network marketing thing part time?”</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">So I finally decided to make this post and answer that question very bluntly.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">And my answer would be both <strong>yes</strong> and <strong>no</strong>.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Let me explain&#8230;</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">As an entrepreneur, you <strong>DO NOT</strong> get paid by the time you put in your business.  No matter what industry you are in, entrepreneurs only get paid by production.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>No Result</strong> = <strong>No Dinnero</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">What I see most newbies in the network marketing industry do is that they treat their business like their jobs.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">They would put in the hours, weeks later they don’t see the results and they would call the program a scam because it didn’t pay them.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; text-decoration: underline;">Business is not a job</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">.  And if one needs immediate part time income, go out there and find a part time job!  Your business is not going to pay you until you can make it profitable. </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">It is </span><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; text-decoration: underline;">very difficult to make your business grow</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> if you are treating your business as a </span><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; text-decoration: underline;">part time hobby mentally</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>Is it possible to run a network marketing business part time?</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">You can work part time on your business, but you can not treat your business as a part time thing.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Since time is only a small part of the equation of how much you get paid, you can definitely use it to your advantage.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Remember, even if you only have 1 hour a day to run your business, if you can concentrate all your energy and focus in that 1 hour block, you will be amazed at how much you will get done.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Make sure to focus 100% of your cell in your business in whatever time you can dedicate to it.  <strong>tune out all outside noise including phone calls, emails, even your family. </strong>Have a list of tasks you want to accomplish in front of you and do not get side tracked until you finish the tasks at hand.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>Here’s one golden tip for you if time is not on your side</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">You are a business owner.  And business owners don’t do everything themselves.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">The first thing you want to do is figure out what your strength and weaknesses are.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>There’s nothing more unproductive than spending hours at your computer trying figure out how to do a task that someone else can do it for 2 minutes.</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Get creative in outsourcing.  Outsourcing don’t always have to cost your thousands of dollars a month.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">You can go find talents within your own network of friends and family.  You can even find computer help from students in a local community college near you!</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Once you have your business running in streamline and you are only doing that tasks that you are good at, your business will start to grow and you are on your way to <strong>achieve the life of your dream.</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
