Great info on Numis! I am so glad I got in when I did…=)
Hey Jim,
You are a great network marketer and you really know your stuff. However, the actual value of the coins is not what it says online or in some book. It is highly unlikely that you can get someone to give you $500 for one of your coins in 10 years. Robert Kiyosaki’s silver and gold adviser actually does not like numismatic coins as an investment. He says that if you are going to invest in them you should do it as a hobby. Numis is still a good company. But the fact is the product is NOT A GOOD INVESTMENT!
Nick
I think Nick is completely missing the point.
hey Nick, I value your opinion on Numismatic. However, here are some of my discoveries.
1. if you google “ms 70 silver eagle” you will find this coin to sell at comparably higher price than what numis sells. from ebay to hsn. in fact, one of my teammate bought the silver eagle for 99 at numis and sold it back out locally for 150.
2. THIS IS NOT AN INVESTMENT PROGRAM! I do not recommend people to invest money in numismatic coins hoping to hedge against currency. I do think its pretty cool how easy it is to break even on autoship and collect numismatic coins for free every single month.
Nick, I know Mike Meloney and R. Kiyosaki personally. Mike is in the business of bullion therefore he does not recommend numismatic
Buying bullion is all about hedging the currency. Numismatic coins is for collecting purposes.
With all the dust and hype settles, I like numis’s approach as it is the only mlm I know right now where you get to collect assets monthly
Hey Jim. I appreciate and that you cleared some things up for everyone. I do know that a lot of people promoting Numis are saying that it is a good investment and that numismatic coins are assets. If one is looking at any collectible as an asset than collecting sports cards or action figures would also be good investment.
Anyways, I just feel that it is important that people know that they are not going to have a powerful portfolio of gold and silver when all is said and done with numismatic coins. If people jump on the numismatic coin collecting train than this company has a fighting chance. Bottom line, Numis’ product is simply a collectible item and not a strong asset.
Nick, historically speaking, since 1986 when silver eagles are being modern issued, the value of ms 70 numismatic coin have rise in value every single year. If you have a 1950 original condition corvette, wouldn’t you count that as an asset?
bottom line, if I had to have a garage full of something to run a network marketing business. Hands down it would be Numismatic coins.
Jim, The value has risen. But, my point is that there is no market for resale. My house may be worth $150,000. However, If I can not find a buyer what good does it do me.
The Corvette analogy holds no water for the same reason. A 1950 Original Condition Corvette is quite rare and there are more people who would want one than there are people selling them. The opposite goes for Numis coins as there are more people who own them than there are people willing to buy them. AND, this ratio will only get worse as the market is flooded with them. Again, I’m not saying that Numis a bad company or opportunity. The argument that I make is that numismatic coins are not a good investment now and will not get better in the future.
The fact that many Numis Reps are claiming that your are buying assets with your autoship is completely a farse. It would be much more honest to tell people that they are buying collectibles and that the market to sell them will be very weak.
Nick
Nick,
Numis Network is promoting the coins as collectible instead of reselling. Just to make a side note. The numismatic coins indeed can be claim as an asset if you are filing any type of financial report. no gimmicks there.
Well it’s good to know that it is not being portrayed as an investment, by you at least. But still, what value does that collectible do sitting in your closet for the rest of your life? The deal just makes no sense to me. And, I know there is the comeback of “well, it’s an opportunity and that is were the value comes in.” But I have analyzed the comp plan and it appears to be very weak.
haha Nick. Don’t want to burst your bubble. But since you are commenting on my blog I ll do it.
How much money are you making in network marketing for you to come up with the conclusion that Numis’s comp plan is very weak?
As far as value of the product. This is the ONLY product I’ve seen in network marketing so far that you can actually trade the product for money years after.
